What’s A Halo?
A Halo Hair Extension is a quick, damage-free way to add instant volume and length to your natural hair — no tapes, beads, or monthly salon appointments required!
Designed with a thin, invisible wire, the halo sits comfortably around the crown of your head like a headband, secured with four pressure sensitive clips, blending seamlessly with your own hair for a full, natural look.
We offer Halo Extensions in lengths ranging from 12” to 20”, making them perfect whether you're looking for a subtle boost or dramatic transformation. We also carry a wide range of shades available in-store, with the option of colour matching done in-house by us!
Ideal for those wanting more density and fullness, Halo Extensions are especially great for finer hair types or anyone who wants a fuller look in minutes — no commitment necessary!

What Other Types of Hair Extensions Are There?
Well, plenty! Hair extensions are a great way to (realistically) have what you can’t naturally grow — so to speak. No matter which type you choose, they all aim to do the same thing: give you fuller, thicker hair and added length. That’s it!
Now, let’s break down the most popular types of hair extensions out there:
-
Clip-In Hair Extensions
Temporary extensions with clips attached at the base. Easy to apply and remove at home without professional help. Great for occasional use or special events.
-
Tape-In Hair Extensions
Pre-taped wefts of hair that are sandwiched between sections of natural hair. Applied with heat or pressure. Lasts 6–8 weeks and requires professional installation and removal.
-
Sew-In (Weave) Hair Extensions
Hair is braided into cornrows, and wefts are sewn into the braids with needle and thread. Popular for thick or coarse hair. Lasts 6–10 weeks and requires salon application.
-
Microlink (Micro-Bead) Hair Extensions
Small sections of natural hair are clamped with metal beads that hold individual hair extensions in place. No heat or glue required. Can last 2–4 months with maintenance.
-
Fusion (Keratin Bond) Hair Extensions
Individual strands bonded to natural hair using keratin and a heat tool. Offers a natural look and long-lasting hold (up to 3–4 months), but requires professional application and removal.
-
I-Tip Hair Extensions
Similar to microlink extensions, but use individual keratin-tipped strands applied with small beads or rings (no heat). Reusable and adjustable. Lasts 2–3 months.
-
Hand-Tied Hair Extensions
Wefts of hair are hand-tied onto a beaded row that’s sewn into the hair. Lightweight and flat against the scalp. Known for a natural look and long wear (up to 8 weeks between move-ups).

Why Some Extensions Can Do More Harm Than Good
Many of our Halo clients come to us after trying various types of hair extensions — and unfortunately, their past experiences are often less than ideal.
One common issue is that many stylists aren’t properly trained in hair thinning or hair loss, which can lead to the wrong solutions being recommended. Instead of addressing the root cause, hair extensions are often used as a quick fix — especially permanent methods like tape-ins or sew-ins.
The problem? These types of extensions can actually make things worse. Over time, the weight and tension they place on your natural hair can lead to breakage, thinning, and even traction alopecia — especially for those already experiencing hair loss.
That’s why we focus on solutions like Halos — designed to enhance your hair without compromising it.
